2019 Civic Type R

The high-powered hatchback is a radical design from Honda that has gone through a lot of minor updates. Classified as a sports hatchback, the model has beaten many hatchbacks in a head-to-head competition. The front wheel drive has been perfected in this model. The torque steering has been improved, and the balance has been made better by incorporating celestial chassis tuning.

The powertrain is a six-speed manual gearbox which has been combined with a 360 hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The brand new in-your-face styling may not be for everyone, but the looks definitely set it apart from other hatchbacks in the category. With a perfect grip and a powerful engine, it’s difficult to describe in words how it feels to drive this beautiful beast. Its infotainment system was touchscreen-based which was not to everyone’s preference. Thankfully, in the 2019 model, Honda has added a physical volume knob and physical buttons that have made the infotainment system more user-friendly. The climate controls and fan-speed also now have physical buttons. The easy clutch action and the precise shifter are perfectly paired to provide a seamless experience. The exhaust system is a triple pipe and center-exit, which isn’t as loud as the overall appearance of the vehicle. The car boasts of an above average fuel-economy rating and performs extremely well in all driving conditions.

Apart from this, the new model also has bigger cup holders and a new switch for the electronic parking brake. The steering wheel control has also been streamlined, and the color palette of the vehicle has been expanded to include the insane sonic gray pearl hue. No major changes have been made to the powertrain from the previous models, and that’s for the better. No one would want to compromise the powerhouse of a powertrain that this model has. The vehicle is capable of reaching 0 to 60 in a matter of 4.9 seconds making it one of the fastest front-wheel drives in the section. While the car is available only in a single trim level, the price range has jumped by $10,000 to its current price of $36,595.
